This is the website of St George’s Brass Band, Dublin
Dublin’s Leading Brass Band

St George’s Brass Band was founded in 1936 in St George’s parish on the north side of Dublin, Ireland. We rehearse every Monday evening in St George’s and St. Thomas’s Church on Cathal Brugha Street. The Band has a very wide repertoire of music in its library and has a proud history of entertaining the public. Regular concerts in recent years have included the Botanical Gardens, St Stephen’s Green, Dun Laoghaire Pier, Powerscourt Gardens, The National Concert Hall and various garden fetes. We also play indoor concerts to suit any occasion, including fund raising events.

St George's Brass Band in Rehearsal, July 2016

St George’s Brass Band have returned to rehearsals after a long absence due to the covid-19 pandemic.  We look forward to performing at concerts and public events in the near future.

Sad Announcement – 01 March, 2021

The band is saddened to hear of the passing of former conductor Jack Regan last night. Jack’s name was synonymous with band, serving well over 30 years with the band before retiring in 2014. He taught learners both young and old, and instilled in all a great appetite for music and learning. He also volunteered a lot of time for the band association including coming up with the idea for the Gormanston Summer School.

A true gentleman and a lifelong friend.

Rest in Peace, Jack.
